Future development (road map)

We released LoanIt with the intention of adding more features as we go along to improve user experience. We will keep updating this post with extra features that we are currently working on or planning to work on.

Here are some of the features we will be adding:

• Hire agreement form. This will be a form that users can fill in with their details, the borrowers details and item description and/or current damage that the item might contain. (we are currently seeking legal advice to get this form written up) DONE!
  
• Rent now functionality. This will work a lot like the 'Buy now' button that exists on auction sites. Once an ad is posted, there will be a 'Rent now' button. When a borrower clicks this button, a request is sent to the loaner to accept or decline. If the loaner accepts, the borrower will be notified by email and will be given the email address of the loaner to contact them and arrange pick up and any other details.
• Feedback. As soon as the 'Rent now' functionality is included, we will be able to have the feedback option for users that have a legitimate loaner->borrower connection in the system. The connection will be made by the borrower requesting to borrow the item and the loaner accepting his/her request.
• Page view counter. To display the amount of views an ad has received. (We are thinking of displaying the total amount of views the ad has received, as well as the amount of views the ad has received for today). DONE!
• Add to Favourites. To save ads that a loged in user is interested in.
• Availability Calendar. An optional calendar to show if an item/service/place has been booked or if it is available.
